I have a 2003 2.2 Ecotec that if I gun it, the low coolant level light comes on.
I have checked the level on several different occasions and the level is fine.
My temperature is always within specs, usually around 195 degrees.
Anyone know what is happening and why it does this?
Please no sarcasm.

could be your water pump tthough dont take my word for it my expertise is ld9
I have heard that if you go around a hard turn, or "gas it" it will come on because of the coolant sloshing around??? I dont know, mine does it as well, and my coolant has never been low or gotten out of temperatre either. But I also have and ld9,
98z24, lowered 2", aem intake, cat-back striaght pipes!, cop ligths in the front and rear, 18" liquid metal's, primer black, tint, full audio and video.
my ecotec does the same...light comes on for about 5 min even though the level and temp us fine....my guess is a sensor
same thing happend with mine. Turned out it had build up keeping the float from sliding. I took the overflow tank out and put it in the sink and ran hot water through it and gave it a few good shakes. You can hear a float moving in the tank now when you shake it. No more light
same problem with mine, it almost felt as if the large rad hose had an air bubble in it.
I filled the reservoir up with distilled water, put the cap back on, kinked the overflow line, and hand squeezed the large hose, it now feels like there is no air, and the light hasnt come back on

I hope it is the float and not air in the coolant system.
I do appreciate all the input,
It does come on when I take a corner quick or launch hard.
I am thinking it is a good time to flush my radiator even though I did so 25k miles ago.
Thanks guys!
