Seriously it does. Leaving work today I took off kind of quick in order to merge with oncoming traffic. I glanced down at my speedometer and noticed I was doing 110mph in what seemed like only a few seconds. It turns out my speedometer won't go under 40mph. While completely stopped it reads 40. It began with my fuel gauge, which only works every once in a while. Then my temperature gauge has been acting up for the past 2 weeks. Finally the speedometer quit. It's a pattern that goes from left to right. Is it time to replace my gauge cluster or could it be a different problem? Will my BCM store my mileage if I install a new cluster?
i have kinda the same problem, i get mine down to normal, by starting the car without the clutch in.
i cant actually start the car, but it drops all the gagues to zero, and it usually stays there
Thrice . wrote:i think you should go back and try to actually order some cam valves. see if he has any in stock. then ask him to give you an actual price and show you the website or anything legit about where he orders from...for all you know he is this dumb, and orders things that don't exist....he's probably got 10 of those ebay transistors that gave him eleventy hundred pony power....what a douche.
Thanks, I am going to try that out.
I also had the same problem (just with my speedo though). Bought a new cluster off ebay ($40, including shipping, brand new) About an hour to put it in, and yhe problem is fixed. Also locktited some screws in there while I was at it to stop some rattles. If you have a digital milage readout, the computer should hold onto you odometer reading , so its just plug and play.
