Ok, so I took my car to the track, ran a consistant 16.2, and popped one of the shift cables... I just shelled out $300 on a repair that I could have done myself if I had the knowledge and the time but I am wondering... Are there any aftermarket shift cables with a metal connector as opposed to the plastic one that might be a bit more durable? If so, could someone point me in the right direction on that?
