Not sure if this is in the right forum.
I just help my cousin put a new rad. in his 1995 2.2 cavalier.Old one was pushed in and bent up fairly bad.
I'm wondering if i should just fill it up with coolant or if i should flush the system out first before i add the coolant.I know it wouldn't hurt to do the flush...I'm just wondering if it's necessary or not.I really don't want to mess it up as he just spent 130 bucks on a radiator.
Thanks for all your help

when in doubt, just add water.
although, im pretty sure if you add the same stuff thats in there it will be ok. when i put in my new radiator i put in a gallon of fresh and a gallon of water and i think it was close to full...
just flush it with water for awhile and then take half the coolant system capacity and add that amount in straight coolant. You must get at least that much coolant in. Then top off if needed with straight water.
