I was on my way to a car show this past weekend and i noticed that the brake was really soft and i had to push my pedal over half way to get the brakes to work... I checked my brake fluid and it was fine... well yesterday i bleed the brakes and still the same deal... now today i go out and the brake fluid resivoir is really low like it leaked out somewhere near the master cylinder. Would replacing my master cylinder be my problem? if so how would i go about changing it?? or does it HAVE to be done by a shop like it says in the repair manual??? any other suggestions are appreciated.. thanks
I would check for leaks, but it seems fishy that you werent leaking before you decided to bleed the brakes. Maybe you didnt fill the reservior full when you was bleeding the brakes
98z24, lowered 2", aem intake, cat-back striaght pipes!, cop lighs in the front and rear lights, 18" liquid metal's, primer black, tint, full audio and video.
ya i refilled it after i was done bleeding them.. i dont get it either.. the piece of cardboard under my car is where all fluid is...
Hmm, I am not an expert, so i would recommend going through the lines to see for leaks, and if that doesnt work, take it to a shop to have it checked out. I would assume they would look at it for free and tell you what your problem is. By the way, do you see obvious leaks around the master cylinder? Because that is a pretty pricey fix.

also check hoses for bulging, and leaking wheel cyl......thats what it sounds like to me.
The classic bad master cyl will give you pedal fade once you have already stopped. Like you are sitting at a light, and your pedal starts to drop.
Sounds like you lost pressure somewhere.....my guess is a wheel cyl.
