Ive had a creaking noise of hot metal cooling off that wasn't there before (or maybe as loud). I took a couple of measurements with a infrared thermometer seconds AFTER turning the car off:
1: Upper manifold "cylinder 3" 450*
2: Lower manifold "collector" 650*
3: pipe between collector and cat "downpipe" 250*
4: cat: 280*
Does this seem a little funny? Does a converter cool down that quickly (30 to 60 seconds)? I thought thoes things got damn hot. Is that a legit temp for a non turbo manifold?
Thanks for your inputs and advice.

I forgot to add, I havent seen a decrease in performance nor mileage. Just looking for a bit of reassurance my manifold isnt going to crack in two.
