Hey all,
I have an issue. The car leaks coolant. Thats pretty standard. the issue I am having is finding WHERE it is leaking it from. Got a flashlight and looked behind the engine as best i could (since the idiot of an engineer putt the intake manifold in the way) And I noticed a hose that was vertical with the engine going towards the bottom. It appeared to be leaking there. However I can not be sure, since there is no diagram of the coolant system for the car that I can find. So. Does anyone have a picture of the rear of a '94 2.2L engine in the car with the coolant hooked up. It's Pretty much My DD, and I have this week off, so I would like to get it fixed before i have to go about driving it any more. The Hose is in the same area as the heater core hoses, only it goes down the engine towards the ground and connects into something.
Here is the picture of the line that i would like to know what it is.
Not being totally fluent with ur yr or 2.2 eng I am thinking that may be the hardline for or rubber hose for the intake manifold where the coolant runs thru it.May I suggest u buy a can or two of brake clean saturate the area which will clean all the oil, coolant to be able to specifically determine if the hose going to the thats is leaking.I would lean more towards the heater hoses that come from the firewall going to the eng and hook up starting to deteriate and leaking bc of cracks in the hose where the clamp holds the hose onto a fitting. That is where I would start.
