I've been having a lot of problems with my electrical system again(Battery was at 3.33V Volts when I gave it a boost today)
Anyways When I Popped the Hood after a 15 min Drive to check the Battery
The engine (To me) didn't sound right at all
was shaking and sounded like it was on 3 Cylinders sounds like its sucking in Air??? when I give it a Rev or that’s the Alt Dieing
But it wasn't hesating or anything

to me id guess its a bad alt..Put a voltmeter on it running and it should have about 14.5 volts at idle roughly..but in most cases ive found with alt/batttery issues youll end up having to replace both..phil
Hey its on the 20 AMP Volt scale right
Also I put
(+) Probe on the wire going to the Alt
(-)Probe on the Neg Battery lead??? or do I ground it out
well it would be on the 20volt scale..hehe..
You can put the + probe on the alt and the - on the ground of some sort...To check the battery the easiest way is to take it to a lace they usuallly test for free. Or get someone to start it and have your probes on the battery and see how low it drops..shouldnt drop below 10 volts i beiliev it is.
I would have both the alternator and battery tested, as its free and isnt that much of a hassle. If it is not one of those two things, Im willing to bet its a ground of some kind (clean up all the ground contacts under the hood) or theres something wrong with the coilpack, dont the 2.4's have issues with those?

omg !!!! i just listened to this with headphones on and OWWWWWW .....damn man! take your belt off then start the engine and tell us what it sounds like then. ok
