I need to replace my lower engine and transmission mount. and need some advice on how to. I checked the top one, it was installed by a chevy dealer but the bolts were 10 turns loose. I tightened them up and my vibration went away a little but you can still move the engine with one hand, doesnt move as bad on the top passenger mount now but toward the transmission it moves more. I just have some basic hand tools. oh, and my cavy is a 98, 2.2L 3spd auto.
It common for these 3rd gen cavaliers & sunfires all have these issues that motor moves rapidly, It just the construction on how the mount is made(poor design). You will get more vibes if you add poly mounts. Also u will gain stiff-ness and better quality firm-ness shifting with youre engine and transmission. U gonna wanna go to turbo tech racing for the after market motor & tranny mount. Also basic tools needed. I would recommend having a buddy give ya hand with upper motor mount, Also with transmission mount.

They are well worth the money.
Good Luck.
Use a jack to support the engine/tranny and just unbolt and toss the new ones in. I had to pry alittle to get them to line up, but it wasnt hard at all.
