Alright guys since i bought my car, its done this problem, I had the fuel pumped checked to make sure its not that.
Pretty much , when the car is cold, she starts quick and fires on the turn of the key. Turn it off, start it again before 10 mins, and still perfect. Wait 10 or more mins and start her again and you have to hold the key and give her some gas. I dont know what to do now? Its a Sunfire 2.2L.
Last week, i changed my spark plugs. I went from factory:O Ac/Delco...(couldnt beleive) to NGK g-Power and still no difference with the starting.(Seen a difference with my accerlation

)
Anyone else have/had this problem?
Any help would be great.

Why would you do all this? Can't you just start it and be on your way?
What he's saying is his car is harder to start after it's been warmed up and sits for a half hour or so. My car does that as well, and I don't have a clue why.
With my car, I see this sort of symptom after a short trip, then short stop, then try to go again. (i.e. lunch hour run to a fast food place, order inside, then go to leave restaurant). I don't normally see it quite as bad as you seem to describe though. It's more like the difference between starting in two engine rotations, versus starting in six or eight engine rotations. I've chalked this up to normal behavior, as the engine is in a transitional state from cold to warm. I've never once used the throttle while starting my car.

Could be the ECT sensor, but you would need a scan tool to see that

ECT sensor? You mean ETC? (electronic throttle control) This should throw an engine code, "check engine light", if it's the problem.
My '98 2200 SFI does the same thing, and throws no trouble codes. A lot of cars are like this, and sometimes it has to do with whether the computer considers the engine "cold", and in some cars this would trigger the use of a cold start injector. I wouldn't worry unless it takes more than a couple of tries at about 5 full sec. of cranking time.
You shouldn't
have to give the car gas unless you have another problem causing it to miss or stumble (like my piece of crap

)
