very lost help pleaseeee

ok well my controls for me heater and fan wont work soo today i was lookin under the hood to see if a relay was blowen soo i pulled out the a/c relay and i got a tool that looks like a pen with a bulb on it and all u need to do is ground it and put the point where theres power and the light goes on..So what i did is pulled the a/c relay and 2 sides have power then the other side doesnt but when i put it on the side woth out power and grounded it it made my controls in the car work got a new relay still dont work only when i put the power tester in the one side wheres there is no power..whats goin on did this make anysense at all

ok make it easyer what wire grounds the relay center on a 99 sunfire 2.4..should htere be more then one ground strap on the motor

One ground strap as long as it is clean and makes good contact is good, two is better and there is something called the big three in the audio and electronics which is better I guess. I believe you are making a ground with your tester and closing the circuit that is why the controls work. Check your fuses in the cabin and engine bay thats my first guess there is probably one fuse gone.

i jsut did that and all the fuses are workin soo i grounded the relay and it works everything that didnt like the cooling fan and the heater controls im thinking bad ground im going to get new ones should i get one for bat to engine and one for engine to frame

ok stil having probs i took the plugs outta the a/c pump put the light tester in there and it grounds out and turns on the fan inside the car to is my wiring all screwed or is it just not ground everything out proper im sooo lost
