IS a cavalier 2.2 87k engine worth getting?

Currently, i came across a used 1996 cavalier 2.2 engine with 87k at my local junk yard for 500. my engine that i have now, has 179k and in the has gave me alot of problems. I would just like to know should i get this? What do you guys think?

If the LN2 was properly maintained you can get alot of life out of them.

LN2 is the motor. $500 seems steep to me for an engine thats as common as the LN2. Are you putting this in yourself?

No, a shop that i know very well, will be installing the engine. for about 500

Thats a deal, Keep the motor maintained and it will mast a long time.

What do you call -- "a lot of problems"? just curious as I havent had any yet (only at 95k, but Id think Something would happen by the way I drive it).

Yeah, $500 for a motor installed is f'n sweet.....DO IT!!

Ln2's will last forever.
