ok so i was driving my car this past night and it was pouring down rain.....then the car just died so i pushed it down the street to a buddys garage and started tearing into her. intake had some water in it so i pulled the spark plugs and checked them and cyclinder #3 seem to be a lil damp where as the rest are fine.... whats next to try and can i turn the motor over by hand to see if it is truely locked up?????
motor is a 03 ecotec with all factory internals and 115,000 miles on it just a FYI
any help would be awesome

Just trying to start it using the starter should let you know if its locked up or not.
Yeah leave the plugs out and crank it over.

Every time you buy an import an American goes hungry.
ok will try that this morning, also if the starter were to get like super wet and fail could that possible be a issue with it not wanting to turn over? bc when i took the plugs out and cranked it over the lights in the car dim and all i got was a click then nothing........

What condition is the battery in? test that first to make sure the amperage is high enough.
Check the cables as well for contact/corrosion.
Personally, I would remove the "cold air" setup altogether in favor of a short ram, aka "warm air"
The problems far outweigh the gain, and hydro-lock is one of them.
My buddy hydro-locked his first car with a cold air setup, motor was trashed. (Integra)
I run all year in any weather with a K&N Typhoon WAI with no trouble.
Worst case would be timing chain failure, they are known for it, and the milage is high enough.
Remove the cam cover and take a look.
ok well drained the oil and saw it look a lil like choclate milk.......then pulled the oil pan and wall ah looked up into cyclinder 3 where i had the slightly damp spark plug and their was a gold size hole in the sleeve facing the front of the motor and a bent/broken rod........so as far as i can tell it did not go all the way through but the block is done so its time to get the new block going i guess
thanks for all the help
