Hello to all: Well currently i have been having some problems with my ride. In which is very rough idleing, lack of power, and hesitation. At first i took the car to autozone and had the car scanned. Many of the sensors, that i have replaced in the past has came back up again. such as the map, tps, iac, both o2 sensors. here's the deal, i had the dealership scanned the car, and they mentioned that, i have no fuel injector pulse, open or short in the wiring leading to the fuel injectors. Corroded EGR valve wiring, a missing gromet at the map sensor, which is causing car to run lean condition. to replace all wiring, its going to cost around 800.00. Please, help me guys. I would like to know, if just replacing egr valve would make the car run better, or what should l do?? Thanks
If you have bad wiring, replacing the sensors is just throwing money away. Get the wiring fixed, clear the codes and then see if any come back.

Guys: Is there a such thing as a fuel injector harness? Because, the dealer told me that i have no injector pulse.
Also, i would like to know, if the connector that plugs into the EGR valve, is the only wiring for the egr? because, i was just thinking to replace the egr valve, and not the wiring. replacing the egr wiring simple? If i replace the egr valve, will the car run better?

Yes, how else would they get the signal to open and close?
LOL, if it runs it must have injector pulse.

get a wiring harness from another car and put it in yours...then it'll only cost you as much as the harness. there is no way i'd pay 800 for a new harness and someone to put it in, but that's just me.

If you can get to a "Pick and Pull" or any other "pull it yourself junkyard" your almost garrentied to find a harrness. For way cheeper than the dealer can get it to you. If the dealer told you thats what u need then i would trust them on it ...dosent mean you have to get it from them...
can you see where your harness is screwed up at?
has it been submerged before?
i had to swap out the harness on my 96 2.4. it wasnt hard at all, just time consuming.
also, you need to fill our your profile so we can see what youve got and help you more efficiently
Guys: So far thanks for the information. I would like to know, where is the wiring harness located? I have a 96 cavalier 2.2l
The wiring harness is not a "part" of the car, as it is the entire electrical life blood of the car. Everything that has electrical power plugs into the harness. Every sensor, every light, every button, every motor, every solenoid plugs into the harness. It spans from the front headlights, to the rear taillights, and hooks up everything inbetween.

the engine harness is a different harness from the body harness. sounds to me the op just needs the engine harness.
to the o.p.: the wiring harness you need is essentially every wire, from one end to the other, that attaches to the engine and trans.

Could possibly be the computer itself going bad. I had the same symptoms on my 98 Sunfire 2.2, and that's what it turned out to be. There was a recall on them a few years ago, but not sure if it covered your car. They had a probem with water getting inside the computer.
