alright, whenever i turn my cav on it sounds like something is hitting the firewall and gives a nice "clunk". the noise happens again when i turn the car off.
i replaced my motor mounts recently. with factory replacements. might upgrade to the rk set in my closet to see if thats the problem.
i had my motor out and replaced about 3 weeks ago, and i dont think i let anything sit that far out of position to hit the firewall. i checked for clearance and it seems normal?
any ideas as to what it could be?
it doesnt happen when shifting, reverse, or neutral. just on and off.

the factory mounts are pretty weak from the start. the mounts on these cars suck. i would give www.turbotechracing.com a call ask for there replacements they are just a better mount.
get a friend to cut on / off your car and look under the hood...
