LD9 rebuild tutorial on the way.
Tuesday, April 01, 2008 8:21 PM
im going to have to do a rebuild of my 2.4l ld9 and i figured i should put together a tutorial covering most of the questions that most people have.
does anyone have any ideas of what i should make sure to cover?

i figure....
wrist pin install
ring install
piston install
crank install
oil pump install
valve and spring install
lifter install
cam install
water pump install
timing chain install
spark and cover install
harmonic balancer install
engine install

ill show the gaskets and such along the way too.

is there anything ive missed?

- what to disconnect, where all the bolts are, etc. before removing the engine
- list of required tools

Just in time, I'll be rebuilding mine very soon, got all the parts.

i have pulled my motor 3 times now and the sensors are not bad really. The hardest part is getting the motor out with the tranny still in cause the crank pulled gets stuck!!!!

buuuuuuump

No response to e-mails or PMs. This tutorial would come in handy since I'll be rebuilding my engine.. as soon as this tutorial is out, or I get a Hayne's.
