So my car revs up on it own, but only with the AC OFF.... if I turn the AC ON it drives normal again. Its not throwing any DTCs for it either.

This is what it does if i drive it, with the AC off....

Start it up it revvs up REAL high (maybe 4k) then drops down, goes to normal, idle (900 or so) and once i start moving it kicks in when the clutch is let out and im stepping on the gas, and it jumps to 3k and will pull itself along in gear. the second clutch goes in or i pop in neutral via shifter, it jumps to 4k and holds there until i come to a COMPLETE stop (in neutral) or it drops a lil when put back in gear, and continues to drive itself in gear

Any time during driving it like that ^^ if i hit the AC on button, it IMMEDIATLY drops to a normal RPM, varying if im in gear, throttle position, being in neutral, it goes to whatever it should be at.... The moment i turn the AC back off, it IMMEDIATLY goes back up to revving high varying on wherever it is, like i stated above.


Ideas?

I checked vacuum lines and cant seem to find a leak anywhere... I considered TPS as well but it seems that having it work fine with the AC on cancels things out unless the AC happened to de-activate certain sensors or w/e..... im stumped.

I wanna say its an electrical problem. Try to trace all the wires that have to deal with the A/C and see if any are damaged.

Yeah, def. sounds electrical to me. I would do what tinkles says first. dont forget to check the grounds in the circuit too.

If you have the 2200, all the wires get into a big cluster on the back of the motor, and your leads for alt, and AC come out of there.....I would check in there for sure.

Well it appears to have fixed itself oddly enough... after re-installing my tune on it, its been running perfect must have gotten confused some how? lol either way thanks for the input regardless.

check your battery, do a load test. i know if my car was dead or near dead, and i got it to crank over and start it will jump way up. or the other time ive seen it do it is if im coasting up my driveway in 3rd gear or so(coasting not touching the gas pedal) then i go to push the clutch in, then it shoots up high and eventually comes down.
