butler automotive screwed up my brakes...help me...

so...i was selling my 97 sunfire 4 door 2.2L to someone and they wanted to bring it to butler automotive first to get it checked out....so i brought it in, i dont know what they did, but my brakes had nothing to them, like there was a @!#$ load of air in them. they were perfect (and new) before bringing them in. i ask the guy wtf is going on, he tells me its not his problem and to take it up with the ministry of transportation. nice, real nice...so...i go to try to bleed them....nothing but air is coming out, lots, and lots of air, no fluid. eventually, after a lot of work,i finally got one brake to spit out fluid (driver side front caliper), but now my rears wont, and i havent tried the passenger side front as its getting to dark and cold.... when i try to bleed it, nothing happens in the rear passenger side...no vaccume to pick up any fluid in the bottle im using with a hose to the bleeder screw, no air is coming out...nothing.

Yup, they screwed you good. Go over the whole system to see if they blatently disconnected or loosened a brake line. Then you need two people or a pressure bleeder system and bleed the hell out of the brakes. I know it takes time but I've been through it whenever I replace a brake line and have a completely airated system.

You might also try gravity bleeding. That's where you open all four bleeders at the wheels and open the cap on the master cylinder. Every five to ten minutes or so, keep adding fluid to the master cylinder as the level drops. When you see fluid start to drip out of a bleeder, close it. When you eventually have all four bleeders closed, it should then be an easy time to bleed the rest of the air out. I would definitely take it up with the ministry or whatever governmental department that deals with repair shops.

when bleeding normally should the cap be open on the master cylinder?

Lawyer, letter, financial compensation done... Someone screwed up your brakes, sounds like the opened the bleeders and drained all the fluid out. I'd be worried about what else is wrong to the car.

Also I'd be worried that the guy that wanted to have it checked out had something to do with it, smells to me like a setup.
