Suspension code

I have a 99 4 door Sunfire with the 2.2 L OHV engine. The rack and pinion steering is bad. I want to replace it, but I don't know which rack type it has. I was told to read the suspension code. It will be either a Fe1, Fe0 or Fe2. Where do I locate the code on the car? I looked on the driver's door, but can't find any code that resembles these. Any help would appreciated.

It's on the sticker on the underside of your spare wheel cover. There will be a big list of option codes for your car there and one of them will be FE# and that is your suspension type. Goodluck with the repair

in all honesty it shouldnt matter. the diff between 0,1, and 2 is swaybars and coils. im pretty sure all the racks are the same year to year

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Adam, you are correct. I found the code. I would not have thought of looking there! Thanks!

Teh Jew: I was told there is a difference. One is a low ratio rack and the other is a standard ratio. One allows 2 and one half turns of the steering wheel ( wheels turning from hard left to right or hard right to left), while the other is three turns. I was like you and thought there would not be any difference.
