I did a search already, and I could only find posts about the gauge being stuck. Mine is not stuck, it just does bot show the correct gas level. It happened after I jacked my car up from the front left so I could replace my bright ground wire. Ever since then I have had the problem. Could it be that I cut the wrong wire. I did cut two Pink wires one which I thought was the DRLs and the other which I though was my brights. I merged both wires together. Anyone have any ideas, could my sensor just be stuck or something from jacking it?

that would be the first place i looked
to be honest I don t know, unless you look at a wiring schematic . Jacking your car up shouldnt do anything except maybe slosh your gas around a little. there is a baffle in the fuel tank sometimes there should be one in there I think. the baffle is basically like a little tub inside the tank that holds gas so when going around corners you dont suck air into the fuel system and just maintain so the engine gets a steady supply of fuel. anyways sometimes they can come loose and can just float around in there hitting your float causing the gauge to be inaccurate. only really thing would be replacing the ground wire, if you didnt put it in the correct place or forgot to put a ground back if they share the same ground could cause that. My opinion just hook your drl's back up and your brights, just curious why are you trying to disable your brights?
sorry for the double post.

I'm sorry, I do not see what exactly you are taking about. Where would be the first place you looked?
