Anyone changed the tensioner on a Ecotec engine out there? How long did it take you to do it? Any helpful information I should know....will probably be doing this later in the summer

shouldnt be to difficult to do, just pop the crank pulley and all the other stuff, pull the front case and there it is, but a word of advice would be to install a new chain at the same time, possibly even cam gears.. there are alot of failures between those two parts.

What are your symptoms? How many miles do you have on the motor? I'm waiting for something to go on mine. My '05 has 115K on it now. I was going to wait until the water pump went to change all that.

115 kms on mine....has a ticking when it gets to higher RPM's. And the water pump is easier on these then it is on the LD9, no chain removal involved.
