Ive done some searching and havent found what Im looking for...
1. The air dam attached to the bottom of my radiator broke off, how important is it to have that on there and will it effect operating temps?
2. When flushing coolant can you let the car run with the radiator petcock open to drain ALL the fluid from the engine or is removing the coolant line that enters the engine necessary?
3. While flushing can i just stick a hose in the resevoir with the radiator petcock open and expect a complete flush of the engine, radiator, heater core, etc..?
Thanks for clearing things up.

1: Not sure, how did that long strip break off anyway?
2: I dont believe you have to remove the hose, letting the petcock open will be fine
3: Good question lol.
I just did mine last week, I emptied all the coolant, swapped radiators then did the 50/50 mixture and let the car run up to operating temp with the heat on full blast... Thats all i did.

if you are using a flush machine you can suck out all the fluid from the resivior if you keep the vaccum on it... then all you have to do is let the vaccum drawl in the new fluid... thats what we used to do at the dealership...
make sure you put DEXCOOL or another extended life antifreeze (such as prestone yellow) in... the 2.4 wasnt designed for basic 30k mile green fluid

i personally run Dex in both the Z (where it came stock in) and the 93 VL. i havent had a problem...
Dex is made to detect stop leaks ... however, in the process it can gum up the lines...
anyone who ever had a problem with Dex had some sort of a leak in their system.
