Blower question
Sunday, March 30, 2008 5:31 PM
i read the sticky... and did a search but couldnt find an answer to my question.

Most of the time the blower puts out no air on any speed. when it does work... the amount of air is weak on all speeds, but when i accelerate up to high RPMs, the fan acts normal for a little while (10 - 15 minutes) then gets slow again

sooooooo

this would most likely be the blower itself and not the resister. right??

Why not try changing each one . Most likely whatever that sticky up theres says. Read it the other day but for got what it said. Try that

the sticky just talked about the resister and if the lower speeds are out...

i think i'll do that though... i already bought the fan expecting it to be as simple as my second gen... then i popped the hood and noticed it wasnt there... The cursing already began... i havent even looked at the back bolt yet ... haha i win...

looks like im going to the stealership tomorrow (i get wholesale prices there)

it took me 5 minutes to swap it in the second gen... its on the engine side of the firewall at the top of the passenger side... like 5 bolts and a hose and electric plug

EDIT: but if someone knows for a fact my symptoms are one or the other, it'd be appreciated before i fork out more money

Sort of same issue here, my fan blower blows not much air in any speed, I did change the resistor and itīs still the same, not much air comes out donīt know if this is normal in this cars or the fan motor is on its way out....

i just swapped the blower motor and now its working perfectly again....

i dunno what ppl were talking about 1 bolt in the back by the firewall that sucked... BOTH bolts in the back suck... i took a 1/4" nut driver with a 5.5 mm socket and a swivel and they eventually came off... took about 10 minutes to get em out and another 10 to get em back in
