I am lost here guys. Here is the problem / symptoms. The car is a 01 2.4 Twin Cam.
-No Spark I think
-Plenty of Fuel I know for a fact because I flooded it.
-1 or 2 Cylinders not Firing it seems like. Peddle to floor and was kinda running.
-New Plugs of course
-Put a different IDI Cover on from a perfectly running 2.4 Twin Cam. Is the plastic thing underneath the Ignition Control Module????????
-Getting flooded from trying too long. I know I have to change to oil and will as soon as I get it fired up. I hate to change it and ruin it again.
-Checked all sensors and connections...
I put the peddle to the floor and got it to run on what seemed to be two cylinders very roughly. I was getting all kinds of dash lights and a flashing CEL.
Just finished my turbo setup and the car has been sitting for a really long time. Please help . I am out of ideas ... I can post of videos of it running with the peddle down to the floor.

ALSO I heard that if you turn it over and the RPM Guage moved your Crankshaft Position Sensor works. Well my rpm guage didn't move but I don't think it ever did on start up so I dont know about that theory. Can any of the sensors cause it to not fire up? What about the intake cam position sensor would that cause a problem starting ??? I don't think so but I could be mistaken . It should still start correct me if I'm wrong... I have done my research but there is not much that I haven't covered or searched for on here. I archived back for a couple hours and can't find anything.... Please help a good jbo member out in a time of need lol.

your coil pack(s) are bad.
by the way...thats whats under the plastic on the IDI cover.
Well I replaced the whole IDI cover and white thing attached that came from a perfectly running Z24 / my other car... I know that one works fine so it can't be that. But thankyou .

Under the IDI cover there are 2 components.... 1 is white and is your coil pack... the other is black and is your ICM make sure that you have power going to the icm and that the icm plug is properly connected... also I assume that you gapped your spark plugs correctly and did not damage any of the spark plug booties...
my friends 99 fire gt same thing, he checked fuel pressure, spark, you name it. he finally gave up took it to a garage they replaced the crank sensor and now he is good to go. hope that helps

maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....... but some day

. I had heard that it may be that. If you read my second post it says what I attempted to do to check that but do not know if it was an accurate test method...

How do I check for power to the ICM? A multimeter work??? what is it suppost to draw??? Yes I am sure that I gapped properly and that I did not damage the booties lol. Thanks mcmanus .
I also would like to know if anyone knows what the draw is for all the sensors? I heard for instance that the IAC is like 9 volts or something like that? Thankyou for the insite in advance guys ....
