Has anyone tried removing the engine/trans and the subframe together from underneath the car? I'm changing my clutch, timing chain set,motor/trans mounts and oil pan next weekend so I'm trying to find the best way to pull the engine and transmission.(from the top?bottom?together?seperate?) It looks like you could avoid pulling the axles if you lowered the engine and subframe at the same time.How hard is it to remove the axles?
To remove the axles, I believe you remove the lower ball joints from the knuckle, push through the knuckle, and pop out of the trans. Not that hard.
