I installed an AEM cai last week on my LD9 ... and ever since I did the install I've been noticing a vibration in my brake pedal.... now this doesn't really make sense to me considering the aem intake mounts to the power steering stud.... below is a picture of the final install... any ideas as to what could be causing the vibration???
You driving harder to hear your intake noise, and see what the power difference is...therefore overheating and warping your rotors....thats about it...
probably just coincidence that your brakes need to be done also. the intake has nothing to do with the brakes except (like stated above) your driving harder and hitting the brakes more often/harder than before.
also, thats a warm air intake.

I forgot to mention that this only happens when the car is warming up... so the first maybe 10 minutes i'm driving....
also how can you assume that I am driving harder to hear the intake???
FYI since I installed the short ram we have gotten around 15-20 cms therefor driving anywhere near hard would be a very stupid thing and not something that I am doing...
I forgot to mention not to take offense to my comment. But USUALLY when people put something like that on....they drive it harder, especially at first to better feel any difference it makes. When you do this, it will make you in turn work your brakes harder as well. One of the only things that will cause pedal pulsation is warped rotors, or out of round drums. Nothing intake, or other add on will cause that. if it is only when you are first starting driving, perhaps you are actually feeling some rust being taken off the rotors....that could give you some pulsation...
hmm... I know my car is due for brakes coming up.. but i'm 100% it's not a warped rotor because I know what a warped rotor feels like... as you described it's almost like a pulse in the brake.... i'm going to pull my tires and take a look at the rotors + pads just to make sure I just found it odd that directly after installing the intake it started
I had a lot of vibration in my pedals too when my intake went on. Turns out the engine rocked A LOT and it was hitting the hood too, somehow I could feel that. Try getting the upper engine mount insert to make it hold still. Not a huge cost and it may fix the problem, plus it's easy to put in.
looks like the first bend by the filter and that sensor might be tapping the abs module. if thats the case, do what stargrrrl says or bend the bracket a little so its further away, or both. you also might want to give the sensor wire a little more slack for the motor to move. not sure if you need to but it's a good idea i guess..... on the 2.2 GM ran the throttle cable right in the way of everything so when i put my intake on i could feel it on the brakes AND the gas pedal. it's annoying ain't it?

i doubt you warped your rotors from the tiny amount of extra power from an intake....did anyone notice the closeness of the intake to the brakes???

hmm interesting.... I will have to check both ideas out... I don't think the intake is shaking to hit the hood though.... the car is idling perfect and that is when I feel it
Pretty much the only accurate way to check for a warped rotor is to measure the runout of the rotor with a dial caliper
