last year my fuel pump went and i replaced it
it ran fine for a while then it started to skip around 2-3000 RPMs
my intake that i had on it broke so now it is running nothing from the TB and i dont have a filter on the hose that runs between the runners that use to connect to the airbox on the TB (thats off)
took it to autozone to check it out they said that an emission code (evap or something) or it could be no pressure in the fuel tank or lines
this is an 2002 ld9
just red this and it sounds about the same
ps i chaged my plugs
also my fuel filter
just ordered this
intake and
these
hopefully it works
and that fuel pump i put in was used
i hope you didnt order those plug boots from rockauto... they're a reputable company, but you can get those at any parts store. as for your code, have it scanned, and find out the exact code. no, an intake and plug boots will NOT fix an emissions code. most likely what happened was when you dropped/reinstalled the tank, one of the evap lines got cracked, pinched, or unseated.

i thought so i took it to ashop and they keep telling me that since the factory intake isnt on there that, that is the problem and i need to buy that one which is like 500 dollers i told them that they dont know what they are talkin about
it def could be an evap line we put it in in a hurry
the problem happened before the plugs but however they are bosch iradiums, i have ran them before with no problem. wouldnt the missfire be not randoms
so ill just get them at a parts store here then
another thing i went pour seafoam in my vac line and it blew back into my face
that means something right
then it wasnt a vaccuum line. bosch are about the @!#$tiest plugs you can run. get real plugs, like delcos. the intake is not the problem.

i know its just the best pic i could find of that tube
its the big black one in the middle not the one that connects to the tb the one that connects to the factory intake resonator
thats not even my car
i don't know which one is which
the brake booster. its a big (read 12" diameter) black round cake of metal on the firewall, it has your brake master cyl. attached, which has your brake fluid res. attached. if you cant find it after that description, close your hood and walk away. now, on it will be a large 5/8" or so hose. THATS the one you pour it into. disconnect it from the power booster side, and pour it in the hose. sowly. let about 1/2 the bottle go in SLOWLY. at which point you shut off the car. let it sit for 15 minutes, and this i the most important part, restrt the car in a wel ventillated area. there will be more smoke than you could possibly think.
