Hello, all,

I have a problem with an '03 Cavalier regarding the rear turn signal on the right side. It won't flash and the right side brake light does not work either. I checked the bulb and it has good filaments, I checked the fuse for the turn/back-up circuit and it was fine.
When using the right signal the front works but is flashing very quickly. This has meant a bad bulb to me in the past but no joy this time. The bulb is good. Are there two bulb sockets in the turn signal assembly? There appears to be a socket of some kind outboard of the brake light socket but it doesn't look like it comes out.
Could I have a bad flasher relay? The left turn signal works fine and I wouldn't think it would work at all if the relay was bad.

I must admit that this has me stumped. I was a pro mechanic at one time but electrical problem always gave me trouble!

Any advise from the group would be greatly appreciated!
