Come on people, who knows about sunbirds

i know i am new to this site, well at least a member. seems like a great site that i will be on alot now haha.
But yeah someone on this site had to have a sunbird or has worked with the 2.0 ohc motors.
I have many questions. haha
Ok this i know about the 2.0ohc motors. I heard that the head goes alot, i seen 3 heads with one bent valve, and the other 2 were cracked by the valves. I dont know much about car engines, yes i know alot, but this is only like first motor i am redoing, motorcycle's, and dirtbikes i know everything about them lol.
What else do you know about the 2.0? I searched some but didnt really find that much
I need to get a cheap rebuild kit for the bird. any ideas?
When i had the motor i have in the car it ran like crap.....like really bad....it was just pouring gas in and running so rich it fouled plugs. Turns out it had 3 spun rod bearings, dont know how but it did, haha. So now i need new bearings, gaskets, seals and everything else i need to get the sunbird running again, i hope.

Just a note u did not have anything in ur profile about your car? What yr do u have.If urs is a first gen 1982-1987 post a comment on that forum. If it's btween 88-94 it's a 2nd gen and post there.Maintenance is helpful but being u have a older car most do not know much about the older js on specifics like u want.I am sure we can help just put more info in ur post like yr,manual or auto things like that it helps alot for those who post replies for the info u are inquiring about.
