Hey today I changed a radiator hose that went bad in my 97 2.2 liter cavalier, and while I was at it, I flushed the coolant, and added more, I have plenty of coolant in the resovoir, it's almost to the top, and the damn radiator light comes on, I took my battery out to het to the hose, and I tried cycling the key off and on to reset the computer (that's what I heard to do) and it's still on
I tried tapping on the resovoir, incase the censor was stuck...nothing
I tried touching everything under the hood to make it seem like I was fixing it and that didn't work either lol
my mom said when she had it after the radiator got flushed, the light came on and it meant some censor went bad but I don't know much of anything about the electrical crap in the car.
so basically does anyone know of any censors or anything that will make that annoying ass light go off?
you gotta just run it like an engine code, and reset it, did it for me after i changed mine. try unplugging the battery for 30 mins. if it comes back on, you have a bubble somewhere.
well tonight I peeled out in my car, and about a minute later I noticed that the light was off, it was a big relief cuz I can't stand it when a light is on on the dash, I hate it so much.
I guess it was just the antifreeze settling in the radiator or something
