2.2 Sunfire OHV Cluster problems
Thursday, February 21, 2008 7:49 PM
A friend called me today asking for advice, I did not have much.

In his sunfire when he hits the brakes or some bumps his cluster lights (warning, and such) will come on, and go off intermittently. Some come on, some stay on others go off. Sounds really weird.

I suggested he check his cluster connection and just check through the dash area for any exposed wiring or loose connections. Any other advice?

could be some burnt out bulbs causing backfeed through the internal cluster board. just be super careful with the cluster internals cause its fairly fragile when exposed. if no burnt bulbs, just make sure all the bulbs are screwed tight into their sockets. other than that it might be a shaky BCM but lets hope thats not the case. a haynes manual has wiring schematics for more info.
