my car wont take any charge from a boost or anything..whats going on???
the starter turns over really slowly even when its hooked up for charging
Is the battery frozen? It certainly won't take any kind of charge if that's the case...
It's dangerous to try charging or boosting a frozen battery. If it is frozen, bring it inside and let it thaw thoroughly before trying again. It may be too late for it, but sometimes they can surprise you. They don't last forever though - I've seen anywhere from 2-12 years.
if its like a oem style batt(not like a opptima or duralast red cap) and its more then 3 yrs old id say its kaput especially if u run alot of aftermarket lights, and sound. also check all the grounds to the engine block if ones loose it could be the issue. we found that out on my friends 06 xb just be driven and it would shut down. the battery was good and all only 6months old yet since that ground came loose on the block it had continuity issues.
