It's on the driver side by the radiator hose, and is shaped like a triangle.
I have an LD9.
Here are photos!
and this one.
I know it sounds like a newb question, but i have heard that the water pump is ran off the timing.
and it is leaking TONS of coolant (green, even though my coolant is red in my resivour), and it isn't coming from any pipes around it. It is coming from the gasket at the bottom of the triangular figure.
Any help would be much appreciated!

hmm... according to my haynes manual... that does look similar to the water pump however... are there three bolts holding it on?? the water pump in the picture (in the haynes manual) looks more like a distinct triangle

No, that is your water neck. The water pump is on the back side of the motor, down by the oil pan, and is attached to the timing chain. Its a HUGE job to change it out since you have to remove all the timing gear to get to it.

Looks like your missing a power steering bolt too if you didn't already know that.

Thanks in advance

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE TINY RUBBER O-RING with that as well... You will kill yourself if you put that on and it leaks again without that O-RING.

I realize that now, i have everything off my engine so far, (got a pretty nasty gauge from when the bolt let loose from the base)
Now i need to go out and get the rubber O Ring.
I have no idea what it would be called. But i will def try to find something.
part numbers would help
I am continuing the project tomorrow, since i need to leave for work now.
Since also you guys are helping me out, i was wondering, the two tubes that come out from under the HO manifold, one goes to the oil return, and the other goes to the breather filter.....
Which one goes where? I have tried both configurations, and the breather filter is still spewing oil.
***I know it's off topic***
Thanks

The tube going from the chain cover goes to the port on the left side (facing the engine). The port on the right side goes to the breather filter. Its very normal for oil to be coming out of there, it happens on stock cars too.

Thank you very much! I wasn't sure if that was normal or not. Now I'm not worrying since i now know i have the correct configuration, thanks again!

Now that i have it done, i have 3 problems.
1. there is a leak in the AC line where it comes into the water outlet. (image with one arrow)
2. the pipe (not the radiator pipe) is leaking as well. (image with 2 arrows)
3. i now have 3 stitches on my pointer finger knuckle. (see bottom picture, this was before stitches).
1.
2.

okay, i ended up trimming back the rubber pipe so that it could seal better, and that is fine.
I also tapped the far end of the AC pipe with a hammer, and now i think it's fully seated, it's not leaking anymore.
as for my finger, it still hurts. Thank god for mechanix gloves!
