k so heres the deal, im sittin in the micky d's drive thru about a month ago, the car sputtered once or twice and i thought nothin of it. I pulled into a space, ate my food, and was getting ready to leave and the car wouldnt start. I listen for the fuel pump and i couldnt hear it prime. so i towed it 2 the garage and rushed into a fuel pump swap before checking anything else.
so tonight we finished up and tryed to start the car, the pump didnt prime and i friggin lost it thru some tools and then started to trouble shoot. i checked all the fuses and relays again, then jumped the pump relay, nothin. i checked for spark at the coil and realised there was a problem.
alright to summarise everything. 97 cavy with a 2.4 swap and 2.2 coils, and blazer fuel pump.
car cranks, pump doesnt make any noise and theres no spark, all the fuses and relays r good.
could the coils being bad cause the pump to not work.. or.. i dont no i just need some advise.
Crank sensor? I believe that controls both fuel and spark.
crank sensor eh, well i have a spare in my other block i guess i could give it a try.
so if you crank the motor and the tach doesnt move it means the sensors bad right??? i think i read that somewhere. anyways changed the sensor today, no change. anymore suggestions.
so wanta think should i go on a coil pack hunt or should i try something else, its been a month and im really starting to miss my car
ya im not really a fan of wading threw snow at the junkyard looking for a 2200 powered cavy/sunfire so any imput would be great, anything at all, make fun of my misfortures, i dont care just someone write something, anything, open for suggestions
