suspension clunk

Hey guys,

I'm getting a bit of a clunk in my suspension, it sounds like its coming from the front passengers side. The car has like 70k miles on it, I think it might be my shocks going, the strut mounts were replaced this summer. The one thing I could notice was my tie end rod on this side was leaking grease however when I moved the wheel there was no play. Any ideas?

I also had the mystery clunk.

I replaced struts, mounts, strut bearings, springs. Still had the clunk.

I then took the lower control arm off and noticed one of the bushings was worn. I got 2 new bushings and had to PAY the dealer to put them in. They were a pain!!! I also bought a ball joint to intstall in the arm while I had it off. I reinstalled everything and also put in new stabalizer bar linkages while I was in there.

Clunk gone.

Now, if I were to do it again, I would just buy the whole control arm assembly that comes with a new balljoint and the bushings installed and ready to go.

hmmm i know there is a stablizer bar bushing TSB for this,

the problem is i dont want to waste my money replacing all of that stuff when it could be something simple.
