We all know about the 2.2 OHV Timing chain issue.

What year was this fixed, if ever?

What issue? I know someone who sold their 96 Sunfire with almost 360,000 kms on the original timing set. I know the Ecotecs had some premature tensioner failure early on when they were first introduced, should be fixed by now.

I do not think there is anything to fix. Some just develop the issue and some do not. I have 3 2.2 OHV Cavs in my family. My daughter drives a 1996 with 110K an no issues. My son drives a 2001 and I had to change the timing chain at 120K due to slapping when it warmed up. My daily driver is a 1999 model with 135K and still runs great with no timing chain issue.
