Car runs fine save a slight stumble while warm. I think this maybe a vacuum leak someplace. Anyway periodically all most all my dash lights come on for about a minute or two and then they go back out. This repeats for the duration of my trip. Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks all.

do they go off first? it almost sounds like a loose battery cable causing them all to turn on once they get power again like when you start up.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Battery terminals are snug. Just shut the car off and can smell electrical burning. I'm really excited about this now. I have some demons in my car.

On the way home tonight it did act like a complete loss of power. The coolant temp and tach needles would fall to 0 and all the lights came on. Car drove fine with no noticeable loss of power. Also once again I could smell electrical smoke once I turned the car off. Any ideas here?

The only time I had all the lights on my dash come on, accompanied with a loss of power was when my alternator went dead, and the battery ran the car for about an hour, and when the battery started to do out, that's when the dash went crazy.
Other then that, I did have some lights come on when i had a bad ground too. So, first check the grounds, second, check the alternator. Simple check for the alternator is to disconnect the battery when the car is running. If the car stays on, the alternator is working, and if the car turns off, then the alternator is bad.
Could it also be the voltage regulator going bad on the alternator?

My car did that when my cold air intake tube bounced off my + battery terminal. I reattached it to the bracket to keep it from happening again, and have been all good since then....obviously that would olny be the case if you had a metal intake tube....
