98 Sunfire GT, 186,000 km's

I'm sure many here already know this, but hey...if it helps one person, it's worth repeating...

Slight knocking started to get progressively louder over the last 2 weeks....sounded like a very bad lifter (at best). Started with the simple things first, and sure enough plug #4 was REALLY loose...and you could see where half the mixture was blowing past the plug.

New set of plugs (NGK...Bosch's seem to bugger the idle for some reason), properly torqued, and it's as quiet as new....

This is something that most people don't think about.
