Fuel supply(& return) Help needed
Saturday, February 02, 2008 4:49 PM
Hello, I hate to post this, as it is my stupid fault. When pulling my engine, I disconnected both fuel lines at the firewall. Of course I labeled the hoses upper & lower before disconnecting them. What I forgot to do is lable the lines on the firewall, and also forgot that I had new fuel hoses & rail for the new engine. Long story short, I lost my labels, and need to know which line is the supply line, & with is the return (attached to the hose off the regulator). I have no battery in or near the car to turn the key over, & see which one sprays fuel all over the place. If anyone could let me know, or go look and see which line (upper or lower) is attached to the regulator (thats the easiest landmark to find...)

The car is an 01 2200 motor

I appologize if this has been posted already, I did a search, but turned up nothing.

Thanks

im pretty sure one is slightly larger. either way, i dont think they can get mixed up... when they get set in place really they should be naturally where they go. if ou have to stretch/force them, its not right.

Well I would agree with that, but with new hoses, it is not nearly as obvious as old ones. if one line is larger, it should make it so you can ONLY snap the larger hose on that one....so that should work fine. Thanks for the info.

You were right.....supply line is slightly larger than the return line. Thanks again for the help.
