Weirdest thing i've seen with my lights
Friday, January 25, 2008 5:17 PM
Well, thought i should ask this question in another post (just posted one regarding with some trouble after a time chain change).
The problem here is that my domelights are staying on.. but that's not the unusual, on a stop, they are on, ONLY after i pass the 6mph aprox, the lights start to fade out and turn off. If i come again to a stop or at least at 0.5mph they turn on again and so on. Its not engine nor brake related because even if i accelerate in neutral on a stop they are still on.

The only events that occurred recently that i believe could have affected are the mechanic scanning the car and erasing some codes? and a visit to the car wash, i know near nothing about electronics, and im tired of having to pull out the fuse everytime i leave my car (otherwise the batt will drain), so if anyone has a clue, it is gladly welcome,

thanks for your time guys,
cheers

just a guess, but I would say that is might be something to do with the door switch thing(you know what I mean)
I am thinking that it might be broken somewhere and somehow while breaking something gets moved and it turns the lights back on, maybe.

if not that, I have no idea, but I can always guess

you need a multimeter. or a freind that has one. take that thing and break out a wiring diagram and start doing voltage drop tests. just follow power along the circut until its somewhere its not supposed to be.

if you need help let me know
