Optima Red or Yellow?

I was looking to replace the battery in the car I just bought and I've heard nothing but good things about Optimas but what is the difference between the red and yellow? I just want a reliable battery.

well there is 3... red yellow and blue. Blue is for marine aplications, yellow is for cars with lots accesories... big stereos, lots of lights and what not, and red is for like heavy duty starting kinda stuff, like big motors in the cold.

At least thats how its been explained to me.

you might get better answers is you ask in audio and electronics

I saw the blues on the site but its not an RV or a boat so I didn't include it.

What would be the difference between one designed to run lots of electronics and one with more cold cranking amps? I don't plan to have a whole hell of a lot of accessories in the Esprit but it also doesn't need a super heavy duty battery. I just want to put a new one in it that I don't have to worry about.

Yea, judging soley from the descriptions on the site I think Red would be what I'm gonna get. Where is the technical data? I don't want to make decisions based off of vague descriptions!

Cold Cranking Amps. I still don't get the difference between the two after comparing them on AutoZones site. Oh well, the reds are cheaper anyway.

Wow. The Red Top sure made a difference in how easily it started. Picked one up on the way home from work and popped it in before heading to school.
