2001 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2

Yesterday my turn signals just stopped working, both of them... the lights on the dash don't even come on. Same deal with the hazzard lights, which leads me to believe it's not the turn signal switch in the steering column. Checked the fuse in the panel by the door and it's good. Any idea where to start looking next? Headlights, brake lights, tag lights all function fine.

One other possible clue or totally unrelated? At about the same time I noticed my rear window defogger decided to quit working as well.

Check this link (Diagram is earlier than yours) If yours is wired the same, there are two fuses, Stop/Hazard 20 Amp (This must be OK since your Stop Lamps work) and Turn 10 Amp.

Check the Hazard flasher then the Turn/Hazard switch

That quite the coincidence, mine just stoped working this morning! That's why I'm here reading this!

It sounds stupid. But it seriously happens to me once a month. The hazard switch on the top of the steering wheel gets knocked on, but only half way. The hazards won't be on, but the signals wont work. Something i would check out before you start getting into your wiring too hard. Good Luck.

it sounds like the same problem I had.
I replaced the signal light relay. if you look underneath the steering wheel, and you will probably have to move wire and stuff around to see it, there should be a neon green(I heard it could also be black, however I changed 3 and they were all neon green) little box, the relay, and it controls 3 things, the turn signals, the hazzard lights, and I forgot what else. when my turns and hazzard lights stopped working, I bought that from a junkyard for 5$, easilly replaced it(it just clips on) and now works fine.
