Ok i dont know how many people read my other post but no one helped me!!!! thanks alot. Im hoping that some car god replies to this and helps. Ok i got my engine built. Eagle rods wesico pistions turbo cams and some other stuff. It is lower compression then what the STOCK ecotec is. I put the motor in. I cranked the car and misfires appeared. I smelled gas SUPER BAD. FPR is hooked up the exjact same way it came off. Same fuel injectors that i ran before. To the car in to a shop. Ok first they replaced the head. They said it was cracked and thats what was causing it. Now head is fixed and car is still misfireing. They say the fuel injecotrs ALL went bad?????? they ordered 4 more same size. THey have not put the in yet because they are not here. why is my car running more rich now and this wasent'; happening before? What is this open loop and closed loop stuff? is my car stuck in open loop and putting way to much fuel in? If so what do i check? Could a tuning shop completely fix a RICH condition no matter what? Please someone help my price is already up to 1600 dollars....i already paid 3400 for the engine. this is way to much money please someone explain to me what i asked.. thank u so much...
open loop/closed loop... think of it as cold and hot. How's your mass air flow sensor? could it be reading a lot more air coming in than what really is, causing a demand for more fuel? make sure nothing is touching it. a leaf or rag could alter the reading. It could be a pinched wire to your injectors, grounding them out and running them full open. Also, you might be in a problem with your intake valves not opening enough to support a fast burn with your new cam. If it were my car, i would start with going back to the stock cam to see how it runs. this could be a number of things. hope this is a good start.
If I throw you a hook, are you going to bite?
Have you ever think that aftermarket cams and stock Ecm don't match 75% of the time? Also, don't look for a MAF sensor, you won't find one.
You never tought of buy plugs and boots/wire first? Fuel filter?
Sorry but I gotta laugh. The dealer really saw you coming. Geez, a cracked head = misfire right away?

mfk u must think im stupid dont youi? the dealer doesn't have it first. 2nd i put at least 4 sets of ac delco in myself testing and they carboned up instantly. fuel fliter is fine do to fine fuel pressure. Now you guess talk about the cam. This cam was supposed to be made to fit this engine. NOt sure what kind it is i dont have the paper work rite here. you wouldn't be laughin if it was your car thanks buddy.
Man, just cause it was made to fit the engine doesn't mean it was made to fit the computer. You need a whole different fuel/spark mappage, since your valve event timing has now been altered. Hell, even in a non computer car, you still have to adjust timing and carb jetting to get a proper setup. You need to go to engine functionality 101 or something. Also, please lose your attitude, or you will receive more replies such as that you have.
doesn't ecu friendly mean you dont have to change anything
