i am doing the timing chain on my 97 z24. i replaced the gears, guides, and tensioner...all the marks are lined up perfectly, and cylinder 1 is at tdc. But i did not mark my old cam gears...would accidentally swapping the intake and exhaust gears cause my car not to start?
No, you'll be fine.. Just get the marks lilned up and your good to go.

i have all the marks lined up...everything is perfect...cylinder 1 is at tdc, and all the marks are on the money. and that is the onlything i can think of.
there are casting numbers on the cams, look for those then log on to www.quad4forums.com and look for info there
nevermind...it's up and running again. cylinders 3 and 4 weren't firing, but i have a small leak coming from the back of the engine bay...all the bolts on the w/p and the housing it bolts to are tight...has anyone had that problem before? (it is just a constant drip)
