Ok, So I go to see my parents over the holidays and on my way back home (3 hour drive), I notice my car running very rough and my CEL light is on. I've had numerous problems with misfiring and i have replaced the ICM,Coils, housing, plugs, and boots. Anyways, I turn around to go to autozone and have the CEL read. It said misfire on cylinder 1. I take it to the stealership and they said I need a new ICM,Coils,Housing, and boots. Ok, well I go buy said parts and install it. I start it up and it idles fine so I take it for a test drive. It began randomly jerking and the ets light and check engine light would come on. I immediately drove back to autozone and had the codes read again. This time it says my crankshaft position is malfunctioning and the camshaft sensor signal was out of range. The exact codes were P0341 and P0335. I replaced the cam sensor and it still continues, so my next move is replace the crank sensor. If anyone here has an idea on what could have caused all this trouble, I would greatly appreciate it. By the way, I'm from clubcav and figured i'd try this place out. Hi jbody.org!
honestly, i would have replaced the crank sensor before the cam. if the ckp was giving a faulty reading, the ecm could have easily thrown a code as if the cam sensor wasnt working properly.
