plugs are fairly new and not fouled. what should i look for on the boots? i was wondering if the spring may be bad in them and when it warms up it would expand...they do have springs in em right? i may have misunderstood but i though they did on our cars.

I'm having the same problem. I have replaced all of my sensors and everything. I'm thinking it could be the EGR valve

check your fuel rail ( angled tube coming out of fuel rail assembly) and also check your fuel pressure regulator for leaks ( on top of fuel rail)

thing with that is though, im smelling fuel through the exhaust....i may be wrong but im leaning toward an ignition problem. only thing is i can smell a little bit of fuel on one of the injectors but cant see anywhere it has leaked...others also appear fine

The ECT sensor or its wiring is possible bad making the computer think that the engine is very cold. Once the O2 sensor starts giving feedback, the computer adjust the amount of fuel injected.
