Well I ripped the engine apart and polished what i could to a chrome look and trust me it was alot of work LOL but the car is parked for the winter and i have been doing some winter projects with the car well i noticed there are white powder spots forming all over the stuff i polished and it looks like oxidation that forms on a battery post but it is forming on everything i polished...
My first question is: has anyone else Had this Problem???
Second Question is: does anyone know how to stop it and prevent it from happening???

i polished my fuel rail and fuel lines aswell ad my a/c lines they do that oxidation thing. but i just polish it again in 2 seconds and its good for a while
My whole engine started doing that...
Maybe you could try disconnecting the battery- if its not done already... ???
I know polishing it get's it off i was just curious if there was a way to prevent it from happening i mean it's not a huge deal but when i polish it it only last like a month maybe, then that stuff starts to form again i just thought maybe it could be stopped or prevented
Clearcoat it! Then Clearcoat it, and then buff it out...
A couple of coats of a good quality wax would probably help alot. Because of the heat, it would probably need a monthly touch-up.
I agree that the clearcoat would be a more permanent fix, as long as the clearcoat product was heat resistant. I've just never had good luck getting a clearcoat to look as good as I had hoped on stuff like this. Waxing is easy, and you'll probably want to clean it up every month or so anyway, if you've gone to that trouble.

Its oxidation. Good heat resistant clearcoat, or clear powdercoat will prevent it permanently, as long as you get every bit of it off and get it coated very soon afterwards.
Just repolish everything regularly. I've been polishing aluminum parts for years. One time I left a part sit for 6 months unpolished and ended up having to repolish most of the part because the oxidation ate into the finish some.

I re-polish my valve cover before every season, especially when the car isn't stored in our radiant-heated shop. Aluminum is a pain to keep shiny, but it's also the easiest to GIVE a shine to. Have the aluminum clear-coated or sealed like stated above. At this point, you're probably going to have to re-polish it.
That white stuff is rust or oxidation whatever you want to cal it use high heat clear coat or hight heat paint (worked for me)
i just hit it with some polish, dont resand it or anything just some mothers or something and its brand new.
