Floorboard wet

Hey guys and girls, I have a question but I probably already know the answer. My passenger floorboard is wet and kind of smells like coolant. I am not 100 percent certain, but I am thinking the heater core is either going or is gone. If it is gone, is it very hard to change? I am confident about taking the dash off, but how much work am I looking at? I have only changed one heater core before and it was on my wife's '88 Oldsmobile Cutlass. That was kind of a cakewalk, but I can do it again if I need to. Also, where would you guys recommend buying a new one from? Well all responses and criticism are always welcome.

Gotta remove the entire dash, its in the middle in front of the console. Any good parts store should have one, they aren't really a part that wears out, they usually go bad from lack of cooling system maintenance. You might also check the hose connections on the engine side of the firewall if there is coolant dripping from there. I replaced a heater core (on a chevy truck) without doing that and it turns out the core was fine, There was a small leak between the neck of the core and the old hose allowing coolant to travel along the neck and drip down the side of the core onto my floorboard, so I replaced the hoses as well and all was good.

Now this may sound stupid, but when you say the entire dash, do you mean the WHOLE thing or just the top part with the gauge opening?

the whole thing. The dashpad, the cluster bezel, and after those are out, theres a big hunk of plastic they bolt to, that gotta come out too. The heater core is buried almost a foot below the defrost vent right up against the firewall.
