i have an 01 sunfire gt with the 2.4... at what point does things need to be changed, looked at or replaced....currently just doing reg. oil change top fluids if need be!

Not really sure what things you are asking about. I will give a break down of what I do.

Fuel filter about ever 20k (I actually do this more often, but because I do not put alot of miles on my car)
Spark plugs 15-20k (mainly because of performance, and checking the plugs
Tranny fluid 25-30k
Air filter (if stock) every 2 oil changes
Coolant I recommend ever 2 years (GM says Dexcol is good for 150k and 5 years). I did mine for the first time after 5 years.
