disconnecting power locks on 94 Sunbird
Saturday, November 24, 2007 5:02 PM
I have a 94 sunbird and it has power locks (2 door) the power locks are pissing me off, if the car is running (in park) and as soon as i close the door, the locks automatically lock. i have been locked out a few times, yesturday i left the car running and went out to clean the snow off the windows, as soon as i closed the door CLICK! the door locked. is there anyway i can disconnect this feature? i would like to keep the power door locks, just not that feature, if i cant, i can live without them. thanks in advance.

At your own risk etc---If your wiring is as mine,---if you can locate the Convenience centre,--Pin C (on my '93 2.2) has a light blue wire which runs to Connector C200 PIN G5 and on to Splice S315 to energise the Lock Relay.

Cutting/Disconnecting this wire will disable the automatic feature whilst retaining the other functions of the door locks.

My Convenience centre is above the drivers left foot, if moved to the far left of the foot-well.
